I just got access to a Macintosh Powerbook running OS X, version 10.3.4. I decided to give building SBCL a try, so I checked out the HEAD revision of SBCL from CVS today and downloaded the Apple developer tools, Xcode 1.2, as well as CLISP 2.33.1 and the latest OpenMCL. Compiling SBCL with OpenMCL worked great. Compiling with CLISP 2.33.1 failed, and I've attached the first sign of trouble from the transcript below. bob ==================== ; compiling file "/Users/brown/toe/sbcl/src/code/primordial-extensions.lisp" (written 11 FEB 2004 08:30:13 PM): ; compiling top level form: ; compiling top level form: ; compiling FLET SB!IMPL::PUSH-ON-R-INITS: ; recognizing DEFUN FROB-DO-BODY ; compiling top level form: ; compiling DEFMACRO DO-ANONYMOUS: ; compiling top level form: ; compiling DEFMACRO WITH-UNIQUE-NAMES: *** - #<SB!C:TN '536870910!1[Const8]> is not valid as the first argument to VOP: SB!C:MOVE, since the TN's primitive type SB!VM::POSITIVE-FIXNUM doesn't allow any of the SCs allowed by the operand restriction: (SB!VM::ZERO NULL SB!VM::ANY-REG SB!VM::DESCRIPTOR-REG) Current cost info inconsistent with that in effect at compile time.
