I don't understand what's going on with farsight/farstream. Do we need both? Are they different? If so, how? I see that the farsight website actually points to farstream...

Forget all, I need to provide farstream (built against gstreamer 0.10) and farstream1 (built against gstreamer 1.0), same a gst-plugins-good for example. This gstreamer versionning is a mess right now…
Here is the farstream version built for gstreamer 0.10. This is the version used by gajim so far for example.
