System fully updated. There's still a splash screen and the option to boot into recovery, but the main boot results in a black screen. Interestingly enough, by booting first into the live USB, rebooting from there and unplugging the USB, I am able to boot into Salient every time without fail. Any idea why this is the case?
I seem to have fixed this temporarily by reseating LightDM to use default GTK greeter. Could be a DM-Xorg conflict? Since I'm able to see GRUB every time but screen goes black at login. Will investigate further.
