Hi, During the wintertime I disigned and created a jib for my ship. Last week my ship went into the water after the winterseason and I had the first opportunity to try my new sail. I must say I am happy with theresult. During the design I came upon an issue which I can't figure out. In the Sail Mould you can set variables concerning the profile of the sail. You set the depth and the position of the camber at three levels, top middle and bottom. So far pretty clear. On the left side ther is a verticle slider which you can set the vertical repartition with. Now moving this slider does not have any influence on the depths of the profile at the tree levels mentioned earlier. This I don't understand. In my understanding they must be connected somehow. Perhaps i misunderstand what is meant by "vertical repartition". As far as I understand this indicates the position of maximal depth in the vertical range from bottom to top. Is that right? I would like to know this. There are more winters to come and my main also needs replacement. Thanks in advance, Peter |
