Hello, I am a new user and would like some tips to build a new main sail for my boat. The boat is an Oceanis 440 with furling mainsail, the sail that I build will be three or four vertical slats to have a little 'roach of the leech. The measures of the mainsail are: Luff l. 13300 mm, Foot l. 5200 mm, Leech l. 14280 mm. In the program we default: luff round 67 mm, foot round 150 mm , top dept. 6%, mid dept. 8%, foot dept. 2% and twist angle 18 deg .. To build my new sail I use these settings or should I change it? And if so, which ones and what values will be used for? My Mediterranean cruises are also extensive. I'd like to build my sails and the program Sailcut seems like a great way to do this, but I do not know what data to enter, if you help me I shall be very grateful and in the coming months I will inform you of developments. If all goes well and I intend to build even the genoa. Thanking you for your cooperation as of now, best regards Negri Massimiliano |
