Richard,
I am surprised about the crash of Vista as I tested it myself on my  
daughter's new laptop!
Sailcut is compiled for WIN32 compatibility and may be you have a  
Vista 64 bits?

Was the crash immediatly after a given state of use or after a long  
time? Any feedback will be appreciated.
