Hello
For the first time I use Sagethumbs on a folder synchronized with a cloud (Onedrive) and a bug appear.
Here you are the details :
I have very large PSD files, so I increased the size in Sagethumbs options to 500Mo
All thumbnails are correctly shown in the explorer (Win 10 x64) for files in local folders
But in folders synchronized on the cloud, only thumbnails for files under 100Mo are shown :
1. During the synchronization phase, all the thumbnails are correctly shown in the explorer
2. When the files are synchronized with Onedrive, the ones over 100Mo just have the standard icon, no more thumbnail :(
I tried to check/uncheck various options in Sagethumbs but no changes
Any idea ?
Thanks !
Same problem here ! any help ? Thank you !
Any help please ? I really need to see PSD thumbnails ...
I also have the same problem with being unable to see thumbnails for large files on synchronized folders. When I copy the file from Onedrive to a local non-synchronized folder, the large (300 MB) file thumbnail appears in explorer.
Help from the developper please !
Up again ;-)
Up again ...
Please make sure you are not using OneDrive Files On-Demand feature (so no actual files there).
Thanks for your advice but all the files are marked as "Always keep on this device" (cf. screenshot).
PS : sorry for the delay, I was out of office with the Covid crisis
Hi
Still no solution for this problem ?
Hello
14 months later and I still have this problem.
Help pleaaaaaaaaaaaase !
Can you share one of such problem files?
Of course. It concerns 90% of my files so easy to find one !
But how to send it to you ? It's too big to attach it here.
Just to show you ...
One file and his copy : file already synchronised with one drive is unvisible, file during synchonisation is still visible (but will be unvisible when finish)
Another information : the problem occurs on One Drive but not on Google Drive.
As you can see on this printscreen, same files, all synchronised with the clouds but the one on Google Drive are visibles, the ones on One Drive not.
Up :)
Up again and again !!!
Help us please !!!!
No more support for this great software ?!
In my humble opinion OneDrive uses files-on-demand technique, files without thumbnails are ghost files, has no file content on disk, so no thumbnails, sorry.
To be honest, that can't be true. For psd files it is a matter of the size. Small files ~500kb do have a thumbnail, larger files ~100MB don't have.
Of course the files need to be synced locally and yes, my files are physically saved on a local drive and are not "ghosts".
If I copy a new file from another folder (with a thumbnail generated) into the OneDrive synced folder, the thumbnail disappears shortly after.
+1 with Kai. Exactly the same !
And I confirm again that my files are not "on-demand" but physically saved on a local drive.
