Banks that a player could deposit money ?and items?
that gain interest over time (or possibly with the
successfull completion of a quest). Later on we could
possible make a punishment for dieing that you drop
all the money ?and equipment? you have on your
character, but still have what is in the bank. This
could make for an interesting time if we get
multiplayer worked in.

The way I had it planned was that you could store stuff in
your guild house once you got one. But feel free to
implement banks, the icon is there.
Should not be that difficult, give them an inventory of
their own and save that.

I agree.
On a persistant world, we could even push the vice to
implementing a virtual marketplace with offer and demand
changing depending on the rarety of goods... And merchants
would fix prices according to it. Then we could go for
caravan-building quests and caravan protecting quests. :o)
I know, I'm mad. :o)
The interest rate would be cool for a start. :o)
