#230 grid_buffer

If i run in Saga 2.2.6 saga_cmd grid_tools 8 -FEATURE -BUFFER -DIST=xxxx -BUFFERTYPE=0
then the given DIST-Parameter is not recognised. saga_cmd grid_tools 8 always uses the default value (in the case of an 1 km2-grid its 1000).
When i use the tool Grid Buffer in the saga gui, the value given for "Distance" is correctly recognised,

Hi,

this has been a bug in saga_cmd (not recognizing floating point parameters correctly) which has already been fixed. Please upgrade to SAGA 2.2.7.

Hi Volker, thanks for the quick information. I compiled saga 2.2.7 on ubuntu 15 from source. saga_gui works fine, but saga_cmd fails with
stack smashing detected: ./saga_cmd terminated
So maybe i have to wait until binaries for saga 2.2.7 are provided

Hi Max,

strange, this problem has not been reported so far. As a workaround you could also downgrade to SAGA 2.2.4 which does not contain the saga_cmd bug either.

Hi Volker,
i installed 2.2.6 from https://launchpad.net/~johanvdw/+archive/ubuntu/saga-gis/ via apt-get .install
2.2.4 nad 2.2.7 are not provided there.

I will try to compile the 2.2.4 version, and if this does not work ask Johan van de Wauw if he can provide a 2.2.7 binary package at launchpad.
