Playing DSD files in wrong sample rate?

Hi, noticed something strange when playing DSD files.
If I play a DSD128 file my ASIO NuPrime Asio driver says its playing in sample rate of 358800 Hz (should be 5644800 Hz)
And if I try to play DSD256 files I get an error saying "Unrecoverable playback error: Sample rate of 705600 Hz not supported by this device" and I guess it should be 11289600 Hz.
If I play the same files in JRiver I get the correct playrate of 5644800 Hz for DSD128 and 11289600 Hz for DSD256 and it works fine.
Dont know if I am setting something wrong, but I cant find anything that helps.

foo_input_sacd version 0.9.x plays in DoP mode and all output samplerates are correct for DoP. If you'd like to play from foobar in native DSD you have to use ASIO Proxy.

Sorry for beeing a noob, but that does not seem to make any difference, maybe the NuPrime ASIO driver does not support it.
It won't until you properly setup output modes in ASIO proxy for 352800, 705600, etc. "Input" samplerates. Set "Output", "Converter" to any value except "-" and "DSD Mode" to "DSD". Seems that NuPrime doesn't like DoP.

Version 0.9.7 - DoP for ASIO/WASAPI/DS, direct DSD for ASIO removed.
why remove direct DSD

Hello Maxim and Anonymous,
I have the very same issue except that my Nuprime uDSD isn't able to recognize my DSD files. I have installed the ASIO Proxy 0.9.2
Would you mind, please, to provide the screenshots of your setting (Playback Output, and most importantly what input tu give in the dsd output (Output, Converter, ...? The ASIO proxy is ,not able to go up to 352800 ?

Download sacd 1.0.9.
install the dsd transcoder, foo_dsd_processor and foo_input_sacd within the pack.
If your dac/soundcard supports native DSD playback through ASIO driver you can set up DSD Transcoder:

Hello,
Since version 9.0 I'm experiencing a problem. With any combination of DSD : ... output any DSD track starts with 2 seconds cut. Tried to use the DSD : ASIO : DSD Transcoder (DoP/Native) and set transition to 2000ms but it waits for 2sec and then cut the track.
So I still have to use the 8.4 version with ASIOProxy output (ASIO : foo_dsd_asio) and 2sec transition for ASIOProxy. This way the playback starts just fine but gives some other problems like not releasing the audio device.
If I try to use ASIOProxy with newer versions of foo_input_sacd it gives me no sound.
My DAC is iFi Micro iDSD.
Could you, please, send me your dsd_transcoder level 3 trace file?

Hi,
Here you go.
And thanks for response.
I've changed delay handling. Please check.

Thanks, but still the same.
I've installed the DSD Transcoder 1.0.8, even tried to set a longer delay but that only adds a pause before the seekbar starts mooving, and after that it starts moving but for first two seconds with no sound. It's kind of two separate delays, the first which is set in configuration hits before the seekbar starts moving and another one after that.
Another thing I've noticed is like this. My DAC has a LED which shows the color regarding the stream type it's receiving. So this changes color only when the sound comes up. Shouldn't it start receiving some zero stream while that configurable delay goes on?
Thanks for trace file. Interesting that I can't see any attempt to even detect DoP. Could you, please, produce "Tap Input" file as well?

Should it try to detect DoP if it supports Native DSD?
Yes, definitely - foo_input_sacd plugin 1.0.x outputs only in DoP mode. So, dsd_transcoder converts that DoP back to native DSD (when it is set to do so). By the way, check how your dsd_transcoder is set up. To get native DSD for "DoP 64" samplerate "44.1k based" should be set to "DSD" (and not to "DoP"). I put 1.0.8-3 version in interim folder. Anyway, transition delay is to be tested for both DoP and DSD selections.

Oh, that changes alot. I was keeping that as is. Tried to switch DoPs 44.1kHz based to DSD and that fixed my issue with 2 seconds cut at start. Yay! Also noticed that if I set DoP64 48kHz based to DSD, that doesn't give me anything good but breaks the PCM192kHz playback.
So my working configuration is all DoP 44.1 based are set to DSD and all 48 based to DoP.
Problem resolved, thanks to you for support.
Ok, but 1.0.8-3 version was intended to fix this 2 seconds issue when 44.1 based is set to DoP. Does it do that? Could you, please, check this too? Thanks for testing, I'll check what's about 192k PCM as well.

Yes I've checked that DoP for DoP on 1.0.8-3 and the issue is still there. Also, watching the LED which showes the incomming stream format on my iDSD DAC I've noticed, that it's jumping to default format (set for audio device in Windows Control Panel) on auto-advancing to next track in a playlist and even on manual seeking (dragging the seekbar), the LED showes it's switched to default PCM and then back to current DSD format with a 2 seconds cut. Maybe that is somehow related?
If your DAC doesn't support 48k based native DSD (I still don't know DACs that do support) you have to set DoPxx 48k based to DoP. Otherwise, DAC won't play even PCM of the same DoPxx samplerate - that's the feature.
Could you, please, make another trace? You need to set DoP64 44.1k based back to "DoP", transition time to 2000 ms, trace output to "Tap Output" and start new DSD64 track. Need to see whether transition delay works properly on your setup. Thank you for testing!

Tested DoP64 to DoP and now it looks to be working just fine. According to "The LED" stream get started before the delay and nothing cuts out now. Also stream doesn't get reinitialized on manual seeking. Trace is included.
Thanks, trace looks fine.
