I have converted several multichannel files to DSD/WAVPACK format. Since Wavpack doesn't accept DST compression, DSD compression is used for those multichannel files. I had transferred all my tags from the original ISO, including musicbrainz, Discogs, etc.
Starting from 1.1.3, when tags are reloaded, the DSD/WAVPACK files show no more tags. They are "lost". When returning to 1.1.2, reloading tag from files makes them visible again. This can be reproduced in each case.
Here's a small file for testing purposes: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1je8wxyotz0lmz9/11%20-%20Bright%20Noise%20%285.1%20mix%29.DSD-24bit.wv?dl=0

I have the same problem since I installed version 1.1.3, I have several stereo dsf files that I turned into wv and it doesn't let me see the tags anymore, I see the tags of the old dsf file but not those of the wv I edited, not even if I update tags things must be done, to see the correct tag on foobar in the decoder window I have to put wavpack on top of the sacd decoder but then I can't use as asio or wasapi output module because the wv's are not read to me, with the previous 1.1.2 instead everything ok ..... I hope you fix this problem.
I put plugin with this feature in interim folder. It manages 2 copies of tags in wavpacked single track file.
Sorry I didn't understand, what would be the intermediate folder? Has the tag bug been fixed?
Thank you
He means the version you can download from here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/sacddecoder/files/interim/
Now it should show wavpack tags. Kind of "fixed"...
Yesterday I tried the fix for the wv / dsd tags and there is still something wrong, for example it still carries tags from the old dsf file and doesn't show the track number well, in the sense that if for example are 10 tracks and I'm listening the number 5 should indicate 5/10 as I have in the tag but it shows only 5 .......
Thank you
By design it should carry tags from the original DFF/DSF file. Could you share this file, please? To see what's going on...
I'm the orginal poster, I've recovered my login data :)
With the interim version 1.1.3a everything looks ok so far.
This is an example file (but it also happens with several others) where the total number of tracks is not marked, this is the first eleven track, if I put it on DeaDBeeF it is seen correctly, ie 1/11, on Foobar instead it does see only 1. https://www.dropbox.com/s/z4c75v5t4rcg3xv/01%20-%20EARTH%2C%20WIND%20%26%20FIRE%20-%20Overture.wv?dl=0
Thank you
On load I have to replace "track" tag to pair of "tracknumber" and "totaltracks" tags. Update is put in interim folder.
Thank you so much and congratulations for your work, I'll try tomorrow
Thanks again
Not sure if it applies, but keep in mind that foobar2000 allows 2 kinds of tag names (for Vorbis comments at least):
"ALBUMARTIST", "TRACKTOTAL" and "DISCTOTAL" = "ALBUM ARTIST", "TOTALTRACKS", "TOTALDISCS"
Thanks for info. Strangely, but it doesn't process "TRACK" tag completely
(doesn't read after '/').
