Have the ability for force specific news servers to connect via a specific network connection/ip-address on the system. This would allow users with multiple paths (connections) to the internet to download simultaneously with both connections, speeding their download.

Or allow people to ensure that NNTP traffic flows through a specific ISP in the case where you have more than one.

Pity this RFE has been completely idle for 8 years. :-(
