Category: s3cmd Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Out of Date Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: DeprecationWarning: the md5 module is deprecated Initial Comment: This is for the latest ubuntu version. I get the following warning: /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/S3/S3.py:9: DeprecationWarning: the md5 module is deprecated; use hashlib instead import md5 /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/S3/S3.py:10: DeprecationWarning: the sha module is deprecated; use the hashlib module instead import sha This is likely related to this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/subvertpy/+bug/323270 Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Michal Ludvig (ludvigm) Date: 2009-12-15 11:08 Message: This problem has been resolved about a year ago - I'm not quite sure why Ubuntu doesn't keep the package up to date. Even conservative Debian does... I suggest you upgrade to one of the recent s3cmd versions. Not only you'll get rid of this warning, you'll also get a number of new features. See http://s3tools.org/s3cmd-099-released and http://s3tools.org/s3cmd-09991-released for the list of new features available from s3cmd 0.9.9 on. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=887015&aid=2914317&group_id=178907 |
