When using s3cmd 0.9.8.4 to put a file into a bucket that I do not have permission to access, s3cmd outputs:
WARNING: MD5 Sums don't match!
...
WARNING: MD5 Sums don't match!
ERROR: Upload of 'test.txt' failed too many times. Skipping that file.
However, the older s3cmd 0.9.4, when executed the same way, correctly outputs:
ERROR: S3 error: 403 (Forbidden): AccessDenied
Some details, in case they help:
* s3cmd-0.9.8.4.tar.gz from sourceforge.
* Python 2.4.3 [GCC 4.1.1 20060525 (Red Hat 4.1.1-1)]
Cheers :)
Paul.
Oops, confusing output, isn't it? I'll fix that, thanks for the report.
Fixed in 0.9.9
