in many cases, users will need to input an IP address rather than a a complete alphanumeric/textual address, if there was a way for the user to explicitly say that the address is to be an IP, the input process could be simplified, because s2putty could provide a text field that is configured to only expect and accept numeric input, matching an IP, including pre-set dots for for each triplet.

    yes, this would at least save users from having to use shift/ctrl to switch between keypad input modes

    this will only need a standard form where we set the input field to "numeric" and preset 3 dots in the field. Maybe it would be better to have 4 different fields for each triplet, so that processing is easier, because the program could switch to the next triplet once completed
