When starting Windows (XP Professional SP3), the welcome screen is displayed for 30+ seconds. What is the reason for this? Can this delay be eliminated?

What kind of welcome screen do you think about? RAA has no any kind of that.
If you think about the XP welcome screen, than please check your startup programs, that cause a long delay at explorer startup.
However RAA has an internal wait 'loop' at startup when waits for windows explorer.exe to start, but that is necessary to control the windows explorer.exe and register our tray icon.

Hi Istvan. Yes, I'm referring to the XP welcome screen. I don't remember ever having to wait so long on this screen. Does RAA wait for all start-up programmes to load before showing the desktop? If so, is this 100% necessary? I'm not completely sure how RAA works – does it (a) Replace explorer.exe, (b) Attach to explorer.exe, or (c) Interect with explorer.exe? (The task tray icon can surely be added later?)
