I don't know what a "linux mint" is, but what operating system are you running on your computer? I have given you the instructions for running RTVPatch on three different operating systems that your computer is running, Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. If you are running Windows on your computer, then follow the instructions for downloading and running the Windows RTVPatch. If you are running Mac OS X, then follow those instructions that I linked previously. If you are running Linux, then follow the instructions for Linux. You only need the Linux CD if you are not running one of these three operating systems...
You haven't answered why you are even attempting this? If you aren't changing the hard drive, then this doesn't serve any purpose. What are you hoping to accomplish?
