I just wanted to draw everyone's attention to the latest development. I 
am currently working on adding file meta information encryption to 
rsyncrypto.

The encryption is done by a substitution code. Each file name is 
assigned a constant length random name that bears no relation to the 
original name. The translation between the original name and the new 
name is stored in a file called "filelist", which is, itself, encrypted 
using the normal rsyncrypto mechanism.

I've started to write the specs for filelist. You can grab the latest 
CVS version (as soon as SF's webcvs catches up) from
