Hey there, just downloaded the RSSOwl and installed it on my machine which is running WIndows 7 Home Premium.

Instalation goes fine, the problem is it never runs.

    Am I missing somegthig?

    Thanks

same here - worked well after I switched my JRE from 64 to 32 bit (Java 8)

depending on what version you get you need the fitting Xbit jre. 2.2.1 needs 32bit jre, the new beta ones (by me https://github.com/Xyrio/RSSOwl/releases ) depend on what you get. 32bit needs 32bit jre and 64bit needs 64bit jre.

Is there a good specific reason for forcing a 32bit version?
If not, this is shit design extraordianire. I'm a java developer and even I won't bother to install a specific JRE just to run this. And why should I...

RSSOwl is based on Eclipse RCP, it has a component that deals with encryption, that component didn't have a 64 bit version for a really long time.
