depending on what version you get you need the fitting Xbit jre. 2.2.1 needs 32bit jre, the new beta ones (by me https://github.com/Xyrio/RSSOwl/releases ) depend on what you get. 32bit needs 32bit jre and 64bit needs 64bit jre.

Hey there, just downloaded the RSSOwl and installed it on my machine which is running WIndows 7 Home Premium.
Instalation goes fine, the problem is it never runs.
Am I missing somegthig?

same here - worked well after I switched my JRE from 64 to 32 bit (Java 8)

RSSOwl is based on Eclipse RCP, it has a component that deals with encryption, that component didn't have a 64 bit version for a really long time.
