From the specification:

"The tool should have an option to export a part of a RRO (for example the reduction flow from a particular risk with all measures up to the final risk, or one specific measure with it's full description) and import that in another RRO. This enables users to re-use parts of the RRO in another RRO"

I think the export could work something like this:

  • The user selects the elements (risks/measures) that they want to export. We would have to add multi-select support to the application.
  • The user clicks a "Partial Export" button
  • The user is presented with a prompt that asks for what to name the file export
  • User provides a file name and clicks "Save"
  • Export file is created

The import part of this might be a bit more complicated. How would you want the partial-import to work?

we could specify that exports always start with a risk, and the flow down to the final residual risk (so not with a measure). That way we can import such a part making those risks initial risks.

A user may then merge these risks with an existing risk to integrate it into the existing diagram.

This would however add something extra to the diagram: a way to deal with the merging of an initial risk with a residual risk --> I guess this should always make the result a residual risk (and no longer an initial risk)

Hi, sounds like a good idea to me.
