OK, so I am now going to do a clean install of libpcap, rpcap and
rtdump on a skeleton machine that had none of this stuff installed.  I
will use source tgz arvhives, and see how it goes.  Will mail ASAP -
its Sunday morning, and I guess I can work uninterrupted today.
