I don't use the .hidden directory method. In my understanding, this requires setting up the hidden directory for the type PLUS a directory (.group) for multiple selections. My method uses subdirectories and I simply select through those via cursor keys or the mouse. I find this much easier than setting up one thing for a single instance and another for group selections. But, this is just IMHO...
