This would solve some of my problems short of upgrading. Sorry, I haven't used the 1.2 versions in quite a while so my suggestions may not work. I tested this several times on my current setup with several different file arrangements, even restarting the X session to be sure it worked as I thought it did. Every instance kept the exact file order (in the 'send to' menu, not the directory list, which Rox sorts) in which I created them. My directory is somewhat like yours with a mix of scripts and symlinks. When setting this up, I only used ROX-Filer, moved the links out completely then moved them back, one by one. I can only guess the difference would be the ROX versions. Mike T. |
