Everything in my ~/Choices/SendTo directory is a homebrewed script or a symlink, and it's getting quite cluttered. It doesn't appear to be sorted by order of creation, file type or frequency of use, and when I move and recopy the items in preferred order as you suggest there's no change, likewise if I alter the file or filename (including capitalizing). This is what my 'sendto' menu looks like now: fax* vim* gimp@ faxviewer fax2lpr mplayer@ mozilla@ guitar@ mpg321@ openoffice@ printer* gpg-decrypt* ...pretty ugly. I'm curious, does the 1.2 version of rox filer allow for the creation of subdirectories (e.g. .images) as outlined in the updated online manual? This would solve some of my problems short of upgrading. Thanks for any help, hs BluPhoenyx wrote: >>I know this question has been asked before but it hasn't been answered >>in the previous posts I've seen. Since this feature is simply a directory of scripts, symbolic links, and/or subdirectories, your options for this are limited. Rox displays the directory items as they are read from the directory so the order you created them (seems to be) the order they are displayed. > > For my setup, I simply moved them into the ~/Choices/SendTo directory in the order I wanted the 'Send To' menu to list them. In my case, this forces the 'Trash' option to be first, then a directory with a few editors (also in order of preference) and then the other items. > > Hope this helps you. > > Mike T > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: ObjectStore. > If flattening out C++ or Java code to make your application fit in a > relational database is painful, don't do it!
