It works, but produces an executable which is *bigger* than the one by gcc (295k instead of 219k)! I think this is because gcc can inline short functions, and there's many of them in the code of Framer, due to the X11 wrapper. (I tried to compile ROX-Filer with tcc but did not succeed.) The only advantage (for Framer) seems to be the compilation time (it's really fast). To make SmartEiffel use tcc, just add this line in the file "Framer/src/framer.ace.in", at the end of the file but before the last line (with "end" keyword): cc: "tcc" I'll add an option in the next Framer release to choose the compiler. -- lau...@la... |
