The thing is, when I open the dir with my wrapper apps (~/share/apps), I always change to big icons style first, because it's easier to find an appliction that way because of the different icons. But in the normal directory listings I like the summary style. If you could give a filer window a window title too, we'd have something like the windows/mac os X system settings window! > Anders Lundmark had a nice little system where all the selected file names > were sent to a (user created) script which wrote out a list of possible > commands to execute - the user could click on one to run it. Yes, this would be a lot easier to type. But don't forget to set the cursor to the start of the line. > > - "Print file" command > > Drag it to the printer? But just right-clicking and moving the mouse a little downwards is a lot easier than dragging an icon across the screen (and finding the printer icon first) > > - File actions (open, info, delete...) on selected items in the toolbar > > - also toggle buttons in the toolbar for "Show Hidden", "Create Thumbs" > > Hmm... Ooops, I must have overlooked that in the docs. Anyway, shift-click is the expected behaviour nowadays, isn't it? > > - right mouse button click on item selects it if no other item is > > selected. This prevents getting the selection in AppMenu Programs. Yes, but then everybody has to programm the menu themselves. Not everybody knows (py)gtk. -- Christopher Arndt [t] +49 6221-303918 Hildastr. 2 [c] +49 173-9542751 69115 Heidelberg [e] chr...@we... |
