Even with GTK it's normal to use a shell script for AppRun with some
common options eg --compile. The scripts are also usually responsible
for automatically compiling applications when they're run for the first
time. Just find one that seems vaguely similar to what you want to
write, pinch its AppRun and adapt it if necessary. You'll probably find
that most ROX C apps use a script based on whatever was one of the first
that Thomas wrote. Open source :-).
