I had a feature request for XDG-Menu and I emailed Konstantin about this, and neither he nor I have an answer. I would like to have the program react when a key or key sequence is pressed. Specifically, since so many keyboards have the Windows start key, I would like to use that. I don't know python well enough and can't seem to figure it out. So, I need a push in the right direction. What I'd like to accomplish is this: Start XDG-Menu Listen for keys before all other programs regardless of what is in focus. If desired key is pressed, have it open xdg-menu just as a mouse click would. The key could be hardcoded as long as a scan code or label table exists. Ideally for future use, an option window would be useful so the user could choose what key to use (i.e. left Windows key, Right Windows key, both, or combinations of ctrl-alt-shift, etc. Good Luck. -- Peter |
