---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Dan MacDonald Date: May 22, 2006 12:22 PM Subject: removeable disc icon behaviour/ panel resize Hi Thomas! Thanks very much for rox-filer and the rox desktop- the 'big 2' free un*x DE's have long been rightly criticed for being too bloated, unlike ROX which is now running very nicely on not only my own PC but on my friends which has only about 90MB RAM. Now that rox-desktop packages for Debian are here I plan to start converting people en masse :) As you know, Dennis Tomas has integrated ivman support for removeable discs into his rox-desktop debian packages. At the moment, whenever a new disc is inserted, be it a USB memory card or optical disc, the same generic icon is displayed. Could you make it so that rox could distinguish between different types of disc to show an appropriate icon ala KDE+GNOME? The other feature I'd like to see for removeable discs is a pop-up box displaying information such as device name, mount point (which it does already), disk space used and disk space free when you mouse-over the discs icon. Finally, it would be nice if the rox panel had the ability to adjust its size from its options menu. Thanks for taking my suggestions into consideration, dan --=20 Dr Thomas Leonard=09=09http://rox.sourceforge.net GPG: 9242 9807 C985 3C07 44A6 8B9A AE07 8280 59A5 3CC1 |
