This explains the recent problems I've had with ZeroInstall, then. I hadn't reported them, but I was noticing that if I tried to utilize 0install applications that depended on ROX-Lib2, I was getting error messages indicating that my pygtk was out of date (pre 1.9.something) -- which was interesting as I'd just installed on a Gentoo box, with pygtk-2.0.0. So, my question -- would there be a way for the 0install version of ROX-Lib2 to be a little more forgiving of python version and/or pygtk version? or to have some way for it to determine if other, compatible versions might be present -- some sort of mapping or set of tests? Right now, 0install for ROX-Lib2-based programs is pretty much unusable on my gentoo systems because of this very issue. -- Matthew Weier O'Phinney http://weierophinney.net/matthew/ |
