[rox-users] AVFS, SSH, and the Pinboard

I made an AVFS link on my pinboard that looks something like:

/#ssh:user@host/directory

This works fine, except that merely mousing-over the icon causes rox to shutdown for a few seconds while the remote system is contacted. The other system is pretty slow so the delay is expected...but not when I'm not even opening the directory. What's going on here?
