Somehow I'm not able to use > that pencil button. I have actually seen this problem recently. It happened when I tried to make a test build of Rosegarden against a newer set of Qt and KDE libraries than my usual ones. I built the whole Qt/KDE shebang and put it in a special /opt/kde32 directory, then built RG against that, and then tried to run it, and the above was the result. The problem was that it failed to find the KDE gunzip application helper, to decode the zipped .rg file format. Rosegarden is nothing without its default autoload.rg file, so if it can't find the helper, it's stuffed. (Even if it didn't need the autoload.rg file, you still wouldn't be able to save or load anything subsequently.) Probably the cause for me was building against KDE 3.2 and then running in a KDE 3.1 environment, but I'm not entirely sure. (There were various warning messages on stdout: "Trying to open ksycoca from /home/cannam/.kde/cache-amanita/ksycoca... Could not open ksycoca." That directory doesn't even exist.) So, without knowing more about your setup I can't say for sure whether you have the same problem and I really don't know what the fix might be, but it's certainly exactly the same symptom. Chris |
