Hello there Once again the problem with Shift and Ctrl keys being locked in the main arrange window. The problem was supposed to be connected with keyboard layout (German, Polish...) or wrong system setup. No way. I've changed almost everything (I've even bought another keyboard ;), reinstalled system, and nothing positive happened. I run Fedora Core 3, and I have changed it to Fedora Core 4. The same situation. I have installed Rosegarden from repository, tarball, and CVS. The same. And then I tried Debian. It appeared to work exactly as expected. But... I think I don't like Debian. I TRIED to investigate the code. I am not a programmer, I would like to be ;) I have found that actions involving the use of Ctrl and Shift keys are perfect in edit window. The problem was only with the main arrange window (Cubase nomenclature.... hehe). I had a look into the code of rosegardengui.cpp and editview.cpp and found differences between sections about shift and ctrl actions. I am not a programmer but I think that there is a possibility to change the code in rosegardengui.cpp (line 4195) to look like that in editview.cpp (line 1461). I know you are smarter than me and check it out. Kick me if I am wrong. I wish I could find the solution myself. Greetings! |
