When running a newer version than the last version you ran, a welcome dialog appears over a "dimmed" main window (on KDE 5). After closing the dialog, the main window remains dim until closing and restarting. I noticed this right after Ted's big 28 commits, but that is most likely pure coincidence. My gut says this is a KDE thing, and this is the first time I've run into this particular scenario since I upgraded to KDE 5.
Not sure if there is an internal solution to this one, but I'll see if there's anything I can do.
I can't reproduce this. I think this is kde magic. In my KDE version there is an option under "Desktop Effects" - "Darkens the parent window of the currently active dialog" - this is doing the dimming.
So maybe we can close this bug ?
It's a five year old bug and no confirmations, so I'm guessing it was a KDE bug that got fixed on their side. I am definitely leaning toward closing. If you are running KDE and you don't see this, close it.
I have been running KDE for years and I never noticed that issue.
OK - changing to feedback - last chance for someone to say this is a problem
