The Ryos Pro supports so called "LED macros" which work like normal macros but just switch the corresponding LED instead of sending key events.
For this Roccat invented a whole new macro editor just for LED macros which has a different behaviour than the normal macro editor. The editor takes the current layer illumination settings into account. This means if you press and release a key that is actually lit up you get off/on events (in this order!). If you execute such a macro in the context of a different illumination layer you will get quirky behaviour until the macro playback is finished and the light layer reset.
My approach for the next release is now as follows: No special macro editor. Use the same editor and even the same macros as normal or LED macros. The LED macro playback routine does not use the recorded on/off information, it just toggles the key in question. This way a LED macro can be used in different light layer settings without side effects.
Now the question: Do you prefer my solution, and should I stick with it, or the original Roccat implementation, and why?

i like your approach, maybe something that explains what it does so people understand the function (popup or something else)
