What are the plans for future enhancements?

While I am certainly interested in being able to do more with Robosapien, I think that this type of program might be perfect for the Roboraptor, Robopet, and V2 - especially since people only have two hands, and it takes both of them just to manage the remote control for one robot.

Control a multi-robot environment with raptors, pets, and V2's dancing around simultaneously will definitely require some type of higher level/PC control software.

      Tempusmaster,

When I get a slow period at work I intend to take a hard look at multi bot control. Once I do it for two robots, as long as I have user-configurable Infrared command tables, I should be able to support a lot of different consumer IR controlled robots. But making the jump from one to two robots is a big job because the design interface and the "play" thread code become a lot more complex.

I'm itching to do it but as I said, time constraints are bad right now. Best to check back every four weeks and look for any update announcements.

        Robert,

Thanks for the update. I will keep checking back regularly. My Roboraptor just showed up and I'm trying to learn as much about it as I possibly can before my Robopet and V2 arrive.

I think you're right about the complexities of managing the play thread, especially since the timing of each robot, or at least each different type of robot, will be very different. Once the number of 'actors' under control starts to grow the need for some feedback loop from the actors to the program may become critical.
