I thought i had followed all the instructions correctly, I installed the recommended JRE and JDk versions of Java, saved it in the program files, and had set the file paths for both as an enviromental variable, yet whenever I attempt to run the robocode installer, a brief black screen shows up, then dissapears. I'm currently running on windows 10, and I remember setting the installation file to be opned via Java, but beyond that, I have no idea what to do. Help would be greatly appreciated!

I have never heard of a problem like that before with Robocode.
My recommendation is to remove your installation of the JDK and JRE and
re-install the JDK from Oracle, e.g. JDK 10.
I guess the problem is only on your local system.
