Hi. I managed to provide the login details to mysql and it says that a database has been created in config_user.php. Thereafter when I press the login on the top right corner, I get the captioned error. I tried with 777 permission, renaming as well as deleting .htacess but now luck. Please help. Site is investometre.com/rnews

Hello, I inherited support of a server running Rnews 1.01. In reviewing the database, I see that the character set and collation is set for latin1. When reviewing the Changelog, I see... July 7, 2009: version 1.00 features: * UTF-8 support for proper display of international feeds While I am not sure why the db tables are set to latin1, if I convert appropriately to utf8, is there anything else required to support UTF8 feeds? Thanks for your time.
