using perl now.

after considering where i want to go with things i've decided to reimplement the database in perl. i want to be able to access the database via the console, and i realized that perl would be the best language for this. that is best with respect to my previous expirence, abilities, etc. since i want to add more modules in the future that will also have a console component, i didnt want to have to rewrite everything in both languages. sorry if this causes any problems.

Ok i have made the first release of sorts. For those of you that are interested you can get the tarballs here:

http://rmdb.sourceforge.net/dld/cudb/cudb-0.1.0.tar.gz

http://rmdb.sourceforge.net/dld/rmdb/rmdb-0.1.7.tar.gz

This works with postgreSQl.
If you are interested in using MySQL then you can apply the mod found here: http://rmdb.sourceforge.net/dld/ModMySQL/

In the future i'm going to try to use a db abstraction layer to make this easier in the future. Any party's interested in helping out with this should drop me a line in the next few weeks.... read more
