The capture done by rivatv uses a piece of off-screen
video memory. The video driver (NVdriver or nv) is
able to use that video memory as well. It is possible
that pixmaps located in memory are overwritten by the
rivatv capture. This results in app-windows having
artifacts looking like green/purple noise.
Typical areas affected include scrollbars and
toolbars.
This bug is very hard, maybe even impossible to fix.
