Wiki of riri

Rémy Claverie

Welcome to riri!

This page is dedicated to the functionnement of the riri library and espacially to the IR files formats. These are:

  • FFF, from FLIR
  • IMG, from FLIR
  • IRB, from InfraTec

And as soon as possible:

  • JPEG radiometric files, from FLIR

The aim of riri is to give a tool that give access to the:

  • IR data (temperature and/or luminance)
  • Physical informations (air and atmospheric temperature, hygrometry, etc.)
  • Geometric and picture informations (size, zoom, etc.)

The last two informations can be accessible from only one C structure what ever is the input file whereas data are accessible from methods of a base class.

All these formats are very closed; we can' find any informations on the internet, so I don't have a lot of informations. For this work, I use ghex to understand these formats from my own IR files. This method has limitations. For example, I know that soundtrack can be included into the files but I don't know how. As well, shapes can be added on the picture.

I will buy a very interesting book on errors on IR measurements, may be I will have more details. I hope so...

riri is written in C++ and intends to be compiled under Linux and windows but at this time, only Linux compilation has been tested.

NEVER FORGET THAT RIRI IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT so, If you have some informations about the IR files format (even for other manufactures), please send me them!
Thanks a lot for your help,
