I strongly second this to use opusenc/ libopusenc.

This would be a nice feature. However, I am not aware of any active development on ripperX.

GrimRipper is a GTK3-based alternative that includes support for the Opus codec.

I used to be ripperX maintainer a very long time ago. I started this some time ago as a learning experience. It's not polished/ready, but it already works: https://github.com/joske/ripperx4

I just added OPUS suport.
