i use the --r3mix preset for lame. there is not a way within the app turn off the bitrate switches. it works to edit the .ripperXrc file, but if i make any config changes i then have to exit, cleanup .ripperXrc and restart. be nice if there were a place in the config to say "just do [lame --r3mix --nohist <infile> <outfile>"
i also would not mind seeing the lame histograms while lame is encoding. sorta helps me keep track that the right thing is happening.
