    Hello Sir,

Is it possible to save /add profil, and switch betwen it on the fly? It would be really nice to bind it to a keyboard macro to be able to change the settings depending what we want to do. (Gaming, watching video, web browsing, etc...)

Thank you for this great software!

    Regards,

    Florian

    Hi Florian,
what is your every day using scenario for the ppm panel? do you use the ppmp client permanently?
the idea of the ppmp client-server application is to use client minimally. only for the ppmp service configuration.

just for now you can use the ppmp task scheduler to monitor an application running event to start a power plan switching action. of course, you need the ppmp client to configure the task scheduler for the ppmp service. and yes, you need the standard OS power management tools to add a custom power plan. for example, elevate to admin, add "application running" event with browser.exe as a parameter and attach "set power plan" event with an appropriate parameter from combobox. then quit the client. the ppmp service will do all the rest.

yes, it's possible to add a custom power plan and select an active power plan from the client using menu. it's also possible to add macros feature. in the later case you need the client to be running permamently to catch user keyboard activity.

so, what do you think on this?

    thank you for your request.

    Hello Sir,

    Thanks for the feature!

First of all thank you for your fast answer, It wasn't expected! I thought I suscribed to get update about the topic but it seems I didn't.

Actually ppm panel is new to me, but I plan for a every day use, permanantely, it depends if I need to keep it in the system try to apply the changes (like undercloking the cpu).

Actually I have a software that let me bind shortcut to the keyboard that runs everytime and that is really lightweigh (Clavier + : http://utilfr42.free.fr/util/Clavier.php?sLang=en), so I was thinking about creating a underclocking profile to save the battery life of my computer, and to use it for lightweight tasks.

My idea is that I would launch this low power profile by pressing a shortcut, and then when I would want to use the full potential of my computer, I would use another keyboard shortcut that would switch to another profil, or that kills ppm session to use back the default profile. (Here 100% of the Maximum core instead of 90%)

Then my question is, when you change the settings in the "Core Parking Policy Settings", after you apply can you shut down the client software, so you need to open again to change the settings? Or you need to let it runs in the system tray to keep the changeson?

    Thanks you !

    Hello,
1.Unfortunately, ppmp service runs in session 0 and cannot monitor user input. An agent running in user session is required (e.g. ppmp client). So, as I said in the previous message, you need a client to be running permamently to catch user keyboard input.
2.Concerning ANY PPM settings just press F1 and find in the Help: "It is not necessary to keep PPM Panel running all the time. The edited settings will be stored and the Windows Kernel Power Manager will use it each time it starts..."

    Welcome.

    Hi,

Thank you for your hard work!

One thing about the Advanced settings, I cannot find how to delete a task event/ action name that I created, is it possible to add the feature? It would also be nice to have the option to have Rightmark PPM Panel automatically minimized in the system tray when it starts.

    1. F1 help : "To delete some event or action just select "False" in Active column and click Apply."
    2. yes, it's possible. could you please point the exact interface location where to place "Minimize on start" checkbox ?

    Thanks.

For now it's a good enough solution, but later for example I have lot of event, it would be better to be able to simply remove it, don't you think so?

"About Minimize on start" you can put it in the user interface, besides "Hide when minimized"?

      Thanks
