At last, I tested the new Replicator (3.0.2-1) from Sid (but a backport of mine to Woody). I noticed 2 important problems that really do annoy me: - NFS miniroot is still rw and no_root_squash, we should improve that I'm really conscious about the problems that may happen on some hardware configuration when using devfs. I think, however, that it *is* possible and usefull to use devfs most of the time, and be prepared to the case it is not possible. - repli-bootdisk still doesn't support devfs on the machine where it is run, because it looks into /dev to copy files on the bootdisk image. It should really use /usr/lib/debootstrap/devices.tar.gz instead. I'm going to submit a patch to Sébastien about that. Regards |
