The class uchicago.src.sim.engine.SimInit in Version
3.1 of Repast reports version 3.0

eg

uchicago.src.sim.engine.SimInit -v

You can get ant to automatically increment version / build
number.  See
http://www.jguru.com/faq/view.jsp?EID=481664

It might also be nice to have a short version string and a
full version string.  The full version string could include
build number / build host and build date.

This has been updated in CVS to 3.1.1 (in preparation of a
point release fixing some small things).

I'm leaving this pending so we remember to do this again.
