[Repast-developer] Programmatically specifying GIS Styles?

As I was putting together the GIS stuff, I wanted to go a bit further  
and demo visualization of the data we'd brought in. I generate pretty  
basic sld, but the issue w/ OS X has meant that I can't play around w/  
that too much at the moment. But it would actually be a lot easier for  
me to use Java based styles. The current xstream api expects only the  
sld UserStyle xml for styles, but digging around it looks like they  
have an API as well. Is there anyway to tell the display descriptor to  
use a Java implementation of one the GeoTools Style instead?
