[Remmina-common] configuration of VNC

I am trying to setup remmina to use both the rdp ( which works) and the VNC
(which does not work) on my laptop.
When I create a connection for VNC using a specific port to any system
running linux all I get is a gray screen.  No desktop appears and when I
check the system from a different source it does not show any connection
from my laptop.  What am I missing in this config for this to work?
