#2 REM 1.6 and NB 6.5 not work as aspected

Hi all!
I've download the lastest official version of Netbeans (6.5) and the version 1.6 of REM.

The installation works successfully, but i can't edit the ZK files(all types).

I've made a new simple web project (no framework, apache tomcat as application server), i've create a new .zul file (or .zhtml .zs, not important ): the system recognize it correctly (by icon), but i can't open it!
If i right click on file, the only visible items are "Tools" and "Properties".

The only 2 ways to open the files are:
1) File > Open file...> choose the file and open.
2) Navigate > Go to file > insert the file name and open it.

Another problem is that any xml file losts personal code completion....the most rapid way to test it is:
1) Install the REM 1.6 plugin
2) Create/open a web project
3) Open buld.xml
4) Try to popup the code-completion (CTRL+SPACE)

and....the suggested items are the ZK's items!

I've test this problem with simple xml, dtd-constraint xml (like ibatis xml type, see ibatis.apache.org) and any other xml (struts, spring, etc) before root node(<struts-config> in struts, <beans> in spring, <web-app> in web.xml (!!!!) )

My operative system is linux (kernel 2.6.+), jdk 1.6.0.10 (but the problem occours in 1.6.0.7 and 1.7beta).....

I can reproduce same problems in my 4 machines (all linux (Slackware and Mandriva))...i've not tested the problem in Windows.....i'll do it as soon as.

Any idea?

I can confirm that the problem affects windows environment:
I've tested the problem in Win Xp sp3 and NB 6.5 official.

Slackware 12.1 and NB 6.5 official!
JDK 1.6.0_10.

Hi all. The zul file just didn't open at all when I double click the zul file in the project or file views. A work around is to simply drag the file into the IDE work space, but the convenience of a double-click is preferable

I am having the same problem too. I can´t open .zul files, but it works using drag n' drop.
I am using brazilian portuguese language.
Here is my configuration.
Product Version: NetBeans IDE 6.5 (Build 200811100001)
Java: 1.6.0_11; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 11.0-b16
System: Windows XP version 5.1 on x86; Cp1252; pt_BR (nb)

I've the same problems of fancisco_cpg and agharta (i use NB in Windows and Unix).
But, is this project dead?
This post has no response from 2008-11-20 and the bug is critical.......

Someone has any ideas?

It seams this project is dead.

I got the same problem with this version.

You can try the previous version with netbeans 6.5 or using ZKPluginnb6.1
