got my grub bootsplash and my xp login screen and my osx login screen and my linux gdm login screen all in a matching theme and looking sexeh. it would be AWSOME to have the 'banner' image possible as a fullscreen backdrop behind the menu to polish it all off instead of just the 2 inches at the top of the screen

Should be doable, but requires some work so that all screen drawing uses alpha-compositing and the appropriate portion of the background picture.

Please! This would give a nice, clean custom look for classroom environments and branding!

Any news on this? I get my macbook pro back from repair in an hour and can start setting up a dev environment to help make this happen if you like...

I don't have any plans to work on this; there's functional issues that need to be adressed first. So by all means, go ahead.

Well after being sidetracked by work responsabilities for months and lots of trial and error, I've concluded that setting up an edk 1.10 buid environment is a fricken pita. And the edk2 stuff seems too reliant on vs. How did you go about setting this up initially? any shortcuts / tips? Or better still, got a pre-configured build env thats remotely accessible that you don't mind giving an account out for?

    Cheers
